What Happens During Your Gutter Estimate Appointment?

What Happens During Your Gutter Estimate Appointment?

Thank You for Scheduling Your Gutter Estimate with Valley Roofing & Exteriors!

We appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and discuss your project.

Our estimate is much more than measuring a few feet of gutter and handing you a price.

Step 1: We Listen

Every appointment begins with a conversation. We will ask what prompted you to contact us, what problems you are experiencing, whether anyone else has looked at the job, and what you did and did not like about their suggestions. That way, we can tailor a solution to fit your home rather than copying what the last company did.

Step 2: We Perform a Thorough Inspection

A gutter estimate is exterior work, so we will walk the house and evaluate your current system. Often we can take care of all of this from the ground. We bring a ladder if we do need to get on the roof. We inspect items such as:

    • Existing gutters and downspouts
    • Fascia and soffit condition
    • Gutter pitch and drainage
    • Signs of overflow or spilling
    • Fasteners and hangers
    • Water damage or staining along the exterior

Step 3: We Document What We Find

We take the measurements and photographs of your project so that we have a record of everything and can share it with our production team. We make sure you understand what we find and what we are quoting.

Reviewing Your Options

After the inspection, we will sit down with you to explain what we found. We will discuss:

  • Whether a repair or full replacement makes the most sense
  • Gutter and downspout options
  • Color selections
  • Drainage recommendations
  • Project timeline
  • Any questions you have

Our goal is not to sell you the most expensive solution; our job is to recommend the solution that best fits your home’s needs.

Will I Receive Pricing During the Appointment?

In many cases, yes. On roughly 90% of jobs, 60 minutes start to finish is plenty of time to look, measure, and talk through your plan.

We love to build the proposal on the spot. We will tell you plainly: “Give us about 45 minutes in the truck,” then come back and review real numbers with you. If you need to head back to work, no problem. We take measurements and photos, put the proposal together at our office, and meet with you on another day.
